IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Marlene
Salchow
October 31, 1939 – January 14, 2023
Marlene Clara (Weber) Salchow, age 83, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family, after a courageous battle of health issues. She was born on October 31, 1939, to the late Alexander and Marie (Swanda) Weber in Milwaukee, WI. On September 3, 1960, Marlene was united in marriage to John P.H. Salchow in Milwaukee, WI. They enjoyed 62 years of wedded bliss together. Marlene enjoyed cooking and baking and feeding us all very well on every holiday get together. She made the best cream puffs ever! She also enjoyed fishing on Loon Lake. She enjoyed countless hours of fun with her grandchildren Krystal and Dasch Mraz. Marlene loved to watch all the birds that Dad kept well fed, as well as taking Sunday drives all week long during their blissful thirty seven years of retirement. What brought the biggest smile to her face, was their first "great" grandchild Everett Mraz, which made them great grandparents.
She is survived by her husband John P.H. Salchow; her daughters, Catherine "Cathy" (Joe) Mraz, of Shawano, and Cindy (Roger) Teske of Shawano; grandchildren, Krystal Mraz of Oshkosh and Dasch (Amber) Mraz; great grandchild Everett, of Clover Leaf Lakes.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Marie Weber, her beloved son Timothy Allan Salchow and her brother, Ronald Weber.
Private services for Marlene will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home.
The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to Compassus Hospice Care. Robin and Scott gave great care and compassion to our mother and guidance to our family during this very difficult time. We would also like to thank Birch Hill Health Services for their attention and care given to our mother in our time of need.
