Marsha DeBaker Milhorn-Beloved Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, and Friend-passed away October 11, 2016, following a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born in Tigerton, Wisconsin on October 8, 1967, the eldest child of Joe and Diane DeBaker. Marsha resided in Central Wisconsin and East Tennessee throughout her life.
Marsha was preceded in death by her mother, Diane DeBaker, her maternal grandparents, Orin and Geraldine Neuman, and her paternal grandparents Cora and Albert DeBaker.
She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Rick Milhorn; her daughters Rebecca and Bonnie Milhorn, of Gray, Tennessee; a special daughter, Kayla Bowman, of Green Bay, Wisconsin; her father, Joe DeBaker, of Leopolis, Wisconsin; a sister, Laura Geske, and brother-in-law, Robert Geske, of Shawano, Wisconsin; a brother, Brian DeBaker, and sister-in-law, Missy DeBaker, of Wittenberg, Wisconsin; a special sister, Tonia Lagunes, and husband, Freddy Lagunes, of Cecil, Wisconsin; nephew and nieces, Hunter, Mariah, and Alana Krolow; numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles; as well as friends too numerous to mention.
The family is especially grateful for the careful attention to Marsha's care in her final days by the staff of the JCMC ICU.
Marsha was a veteran social-worker and behavioral specialist who brought comfort and peace of mind to those in need of assistance and relief. She will be especially missed by her co-workers at Woodridge Specialty Hospital.
Marsha was a nurturing presence who welcomed generations of friends into her home and treated them like family. She was an adventurous soul who was always ready for road trips and strange excursions. She possessed a wonderful and unique sense of humor and outlook on life, which served her in good stead on her life's journey. This world is better for her presence, and she will be greatly missed.
A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Leopolis with Rev. Francis Zurbano officiating. Inurnment will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 am until the time of the service.
