Marvin Schutt, age 85 of Gillett, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at a local nursing home. Born on September 29, 1926 in the Town of Underhill, he was the son of the late Albert and Margaret (Krause) Schutt. Marvin grew up on the family dairy farm. He enjoyed working with the animals and continued farming well into his 80's. When not farming, Marvin enjoyed being outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman and trapper. He also enjoyed family get-togethers. Marvin often talked about his good neighbors and his family will be forever thankful to them for being such a blessing in Marvin's life. Marvin is survived by: 3 sisters, Dolores Rentfleisch of Green Bay, Florence (Bennie) Schenkoski of Gillett, Ruby (Henry) Siech of Green Bay; 2 brothers, Harold (Nancy) Schutt of Milwaukee, Earl (Josie) Schutt of Vestal, NY; a special aunt, Edith Schutt; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Marvin was preceded in death by: his parents; a brother, Elmer Schutt; a sister, Marie Schutt; a brother-in-law, Henry Rentfleisch; and 2 nephews, Gaylord Schenkoski and Kenneth Rentfleisch. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Deacon Mike Zamzow officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday after 10am until the time of the service.
