Mary Louise Grignon, age 83 of Keshena, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021. She was born on April 25, 1938, in Keshena to the late Raymond and Josephine (Nahwahquaw) Grignon, Sr. Mary attended St. Joseph's Catholic School, Shawano High School and went on to Milwaukee Vocational School. Mary worked at Menominee Tribal Offices, and then became the first Clerk of Court and Register of Deeds for Menominee County. Mary later worked at the Menominee Tribal Court and then the Menominee Casino before retiring from the Menominee Tribal Housing Authority. Mary was an avid bowler and was on bowling leagues for many years. She has enjoyed playing Bingo and going on casino tours with her family. She enjoyed watching the Brewers, Bucks, Badgers and Packers. Mary especially loved being surrounded by her family and going to visit her sister Myrna while they sat outside. Mary was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church of Keshena.

Mary is survived by: her son, Jeff (Dory) Grignon; siblings, Myrna Winter, Dennis (Linda) Grignon, and David (Donna) Grignon; grandchildren, Desirae (Justin) Wilber, Stevie Grignon, Evelynn (Jay Johnson) Grignon, and Jacob (Avari Fernandez) Grignon; six great-grandsons, Justin, Jr., Rebel, Shelton, Silas, Onyx, and Wyllie; nieces and nephews; David (Glee) Grignon, Pam Grignon, Ruth (Andy Kessen) Winter, Ben (Lucy) Grignon, Dan (Nanaque LaTender) Grignon, Marcus (Monica G.) Grignon, Kenew (John) Tucker, Shawn Cunningham, Rami (Don) Hoaglin, and Cameron (Amanda) Cunningham, as well as many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers; Wilfred, Raymond Jr., Cecil, and Robert, as well as two sisters in infancy; Delores and Mona.

A memorial service for Mary will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
