Mary Hapke, age 75, of Wittenberg, WI, passed away on February 27, 2022 at Manawa Community Living Center, in Manawa WI. She was born to the late James and Freda (Jenkins) Osburn, on January 16, 1947, in Dow, IL. They moved to Bowler, WI area in 1959. Mary graduated from Bowler high school in 1965.She married Wayne L. Hapke on November 12, 1966, and they lived together in the Bowler area all their years together.

Mary was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Mary was a member of the Old Stockbridge Orthodox Presbyterian Church since 1965. She was the church treasurer for over 40 years and trustee for 30 years. One thing she would quote quite often was "Walk with the Lord." Mary and her husband Wayne farmed a total of 20 years and she also worked as a Lanter Courier Guard for 7 years. Mary had a green thumb when it came to her flowers and garden. She also loved her animals, especially her kitties and birds

She is survived by: her husband Wayne; her children Wayne "Chip" R. (Rhonda) Hapke, of Birnamwood, WI, Peggy (Steve) Hille, of Tigerton, WI; her grandchildren Kacy (Tyler) Weber, Brandon (Keah) Hapke, Courtney Arndt, and Arielle (Joe) McElroy; her great-grandchildren Jameson Arndt and Kamryn McElroy; her siblings Joann (Rich) Golata, of Cudahy, WI, and Robert Osburn of Gresham, WI. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service for Mary will be held on Saturday March 5, 2022, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Gordon Oliver officiating.
