*****PLEASE NOTE: The date of death for Mary is incorrect in the header to allow the obituary to be listed closer to the funeral service date.***** Mary L. (Vick) Pevonka-Brown, age 94, moved to her heavenly Father's house on Friday, September 4, 2015, where her precious Lord and Savior, Jesus, was waiting to welcome her with these words, "Well done, good and faithful servant". Mary was an inspiration and encourager to everyone. She shared her love of Jesus wherever she went, including while teaching children's Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, for over 52 years. She considered herself a "professional polka dancer" and danced away many years with her husband Jack, following the Arlie Bork Polka Band. Among her many hobbies were cooking, baking, gardening, and canning; she could "whip up" anything you wanted to eat. Her pies were the best! She is best known for her love of quilting, sewing, and crafting. She made many handmade quilts, teddy bears, and floral wreaths, always blessing others with her handiwork. Mary is joining her first love, husband Ernie Pevonka and her oldest son, Michael Fowler in heaven. She will be awaiting the future arrival of Jack Brown, her loving husband of the past 25 years, her son Stephen Fowler, her daughter Cyndi (Pevonka) Anderson, and her niece Monica Vick. She leaves behind three grandsons, Jamison, Joshua, and Asaon Fowler, along with great nieces and great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life service will be held for friends and family at Bethany Baptist Church in Tilleda, at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015. Memorials may be directed to Bethany Baptist Church in Tilleda or to a Christian charity of your choice. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Thank you to the wonderful staff at Birch Hill Care Center in Shawano, WI, Heartland Hospice Care of De Pere, WI and Care Volunteer Fred Pape for your compassionate care of Mary Brown.
