Obituary
Mary Helen Prey, age 91 of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Mary was born in Glidden, WI on May 28, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary (Vranich) Mrisch. On April 21, 1945, Mary was united in marriage to Allen Prey, who preceded her in death in 1983. She worked as a legal secretary for 60 years with several different attorneys. Mary was a quiet, caring, sincere person and when it came to family and friends, she believed in quality over quantity.
Mary is survived by: her son, Dick (Mary Lou) Prey of Cecil; three grandsons, Andy, Perry and Ian Prey; five great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and one sister, Anna (Fred) Glynn of Minnesota.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Allen; her parents; and four siblings, John, Robert, Nicholas and Gloria.
Funeral services for Mary will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:30 am until the time of the service.
