IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary Annette
"Tweet" Smith
January 31, 1960 – June 12, 2019
Mary Annette Smith, well known as "Tweet", age 59 of Keshena, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, June 12, 2019.
Tweet "Grandma Koko" loved and was very proud of her grandchildren. She always had a big hug and a smile along with a Go-Gurt waiting for them. As we all know, Tweet never missed a bingo session. "BINGOOO!"
Tweet was a huge part of our community starting with employment for the Menominee Tribe as a police dispatcher for Menominee Law Enforcement for many years. Later on she was employed as a receptionist for the Menominee Tribal Chairman's Office. Her heart and willingness to lend a hand will remain in all of us. Whenever something tragic happened or a family was in need, she wouldn't hesitate to organize a fundraiser; no questions asked, she just did it. Tweet was the pillar of our community coming together.
She is survived by: her sons, Eugene (Staci) Wescott and Alan (Leslie)Wescott; grandchildren, Anthony, Bentley, and Kayleigh Wescott; special friend, Mark Joyal; her brothers, Joseph "Puffer" Smith, Jr., Stephen "Kooka" Smith, and Gerald "T" Smith; her sister, Mary "Grub" Ninham; and last but not least her partners in crime, Linda Lee, Becky Robertson and Pattie James; she is further survived by numerous favorite nieces and nephews.
Tweet was preceded in death by: her parents, Joe and Stella Smith; brothers, Bernard Smith, Sr., James Smith, and Warren Smith; and the father of her boys, Eugene "BB" Wescott.
