MaryAnn L. Kojis-Zopp, age 69, of Shawano passed away on Friday, February 16, 2018 in Marshfield. MaryAnn was born in Milwaukee on September 11, 1948, the daughter of the late Albert and Louise (Sokol) Kojis.  She graduated from the University of Milwaukee, then served in the Peace Corps in the Philippines teaching early childhood.  After returning from the Philippines, she taught at the Milwaukee Catholic Schools and then in Keshena from 1980 until her retirement.  MaryAnn was united in marriage to Dennis L. Zopp on August 1, 1981 in Shawano.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano and a part of the retired teacher's organization.  MaryAnn enjoyed shopping for porcelain dolls, camping, hiking, reading, taking photos of her children and family and volunteer work, especially with the Salvation Army.

MaryAnn is survived by: her husband, Dennis; three sons, Dennis (Jeni) Zopp, Jr; Zach (Amanda) Zopp and Jon Zopp; one granddaughter, Willow; and her siblings, Albert (Phyllis) Kojis of Milwaukee, Joanne (Ken) Barker of Melrose Park, IL, Linda (Steve) Whalen of Oak Creek and Joseph Kojis of Milwaukee.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano with Rev. Tom Farrell officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm on Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano and again on Friday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of the services. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to SAM25 or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in MaryAnn's name.
