Maxine Ida Moede, age 93, of Shiocton, passed away on Friday July 26, 2024, in Seymour, Wisconsin. Maxine was born on August 26, 1930, in Town of Maine, Outagamie County to the late Dewey and Edna (Achtner) Strong. She graduated from Shiocton High School in 1948. On May 1, 1954, Maxine was united in marriage to the love of her life Ervin H. Moede. The couple spent a wonderful 64 years together before Ervin's passing in 2018. She worked at the Hortonville toy factory while raising her children. Maxine enjoyed driving her tractor, cutting wood, gardening and watching westerns. She loved to go fishing and camping with her grandchildren. Maxine was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.

Maxine is survived by her children, Terry (Pam) Moede, Cindy (Vicki Oneil) Spencer, Ruth (Bruce) Ahrens and Lorri (John) Nash; grandchildren, Tammy, Candy, Michelle, Justin, Candy, Steve and Miranda; 15 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great-grandchildren.

Maxine is preceded in death by her husband, Ervin; beloved granddaughter, Cori Lynn Spencer; siblings, Gerald and Luella; and parents, Dewey and Edna.

A funeral service for Maxine will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday July 31, 2024, at First Ev. Lutheran Church in Shiocton with Rev. Paul Hinz officiating. Burial will be at Town of Maine Cemetery following the service. Visitation will be held at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
