Obituary

Maynard P. Koehler, age 75, of Shawano, passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at his home. Maynard was born in Cecil, on June 1, 1941, the son of the late Paul and Meta (Zingler) Koehler. He worked as a carpenter with his brother. After his brother's retirement, he worked at Home Tech until his own retirement. In his free time, he enjoyed being outdoors, tending to his vegetable garden, woodworking, and spending time with his soulmate, Joyce Raasch before her death in 2011.
Maynard is survived by: his daughter, Kim (Gene Rades) Koehler of Shawano; Joyce's children, Chuck (Julie Bartz) Raasch of Shawano and Bob (Mary Kay) Raasch of Townsend; four grandchildren, Andrew Krause of Shawano, Zachary Krause of Wittenberg, Marcie Raasch of DePere and Lila Raasch of Green Bay; two great granddaughters, Allison Krause and Maddi Roberts; and one sister, Kathleen (Paul) Schneider of Maryland.
He was preceded in death by: two children, Christopher Koehler and Tracy Krause; Joyce Raasch; his parents; one brother, Roger Koehler; and one sister, Margie Koehler.
A memorial service for Maynard will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Mr. Dick Menning officiating. Inurnment will be in the Lake Drive Cemetery. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.
