Maynard R. Peterman, age 81, of Seymour, formerly of Black Creek, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Born on October 4, 1935 in the Town of Angelica, Maynard was the son of the late Rudolph and Hattie (Specht) Peterman. After his 18th birthday Maynard enlisted in the United States Army and served his country in Korea for two years before receiving his honorable discharge. On October 20, 1956 Maynard was united in marriage to Carol La Crosse in Algoma. Maynard worked as a farmer and a truck driver and in his free time enjoyed bowling, playing cards, fishing, and spending time up north at his cabin.
Maynard is survived by: children, Sharon (Bobbi Hansen) Haws of Green Bay and Richard (Candyce) Peterman of Cecil; grandchildren, Matthew Haws, Lisa Ashman, and Brandon Ashman; two sisters, Mavis Stark and Lois (Roger) Nelson; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Carol; a daughter, Kathleen Peterman; a granddaughter, Ashley Haws; his parents; and a brother-in-law Earl Stark.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Monday July 3, 2017 at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Black Creek with Fr. Theodore Henricks officiating. Military Honors will be conducted by the American Legion Post # 332 at the church following the service. Entombment will be in the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum at Nicolet Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Sunday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and again at the church on Monday from 10:00am until the time of the Mass.
