Melvin Harold Gutt, age 94, passed peacefully at his home with his family by his side on April 3, 2025, from a lengthy health issue. Born on April 16, 1930, to the late, Carl and Lynda (Yanke) Gutt in Shawano, WI. Melvin was united in marriage to Florence Hoernke on June 4, 1954, who later passed in January of 2006. Their marriage was blessed with four children, Karen (Steve) Leupke of Bonduel, Ronald Gutt of Shawano, Barbara (Russ) Konkel of Shawano, and Nancy (Randy) Larsen of Denmark.

In his younger years, Melvin was a TV repair man. Later in life he moved back to his home farm and farmed in Belle Plaine until his retirement. One of his favorite things was being involved with amateur radio his whole life. He also enjoyed camping on his time off during the summer with his family and friends.

Melvin is survived by his four children, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Florence, his parents, Carl and Lynda, and his sister, Virginia Fromnes.

A funeral service for Melvin will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery.
