Merlin H. "Manny" Petrich, age 93, of Gillett, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019 at St. Claire's Hospital in Oconto Falls. Merlin was born on August 29, 1926, in Gresham, to the late Jule and Meta (Duwe) Petrich. On November 12, 1982, Manny was united in marriage to Patricia Eland in Menominee, Michigan. For many years he was a truck driver before working on the family dairy farm in the Town of Red Springs. Manny retired from the family farm in 2010. He enjoyed going bowling and playing shuffleboard.

Manny is survived by: his wife of 37 years, Pat; his step-children, Clifford (Mary Ann) Greenwood, Michael (Sue) Greenwood, Tom (Wendy) Greenwood, Tina Bunting, Cindy (Vernon) Fry, and John (Lori) Greenwood; one step-daughter-in-law, Mary Greenwood; he is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandson; one sister, Darlene Reif; and two brothers, Floyd (Rosemary) Petrich and Leon Petrich. He is further survived by other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by: his parents; his stepson, Howard Greenwood, Jr.; five sisters; and one brother.

A funeral service for Manny will be held at 1:00 pm, on Friday, November 15, 2019, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Gresham with Rev. Piet VanKampen officiating. Burial will be in Gresham Public Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service.
