Merlin "Merlie" Wruck, age 62, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, December 8, 2014 while watching his beloved Packers. Merle was born in Shawano on April 13, 1952 the son of the late Reuben and Phyllis (Laude) Wruck. He attended school in Gresham and after graduating he went on to attend UW Oshkosh, receiving a degree in business. Merle started his working career with Philp Morris as a salesman. In 1984, he came home to the family farm, which he operated until July 2012 when he suffered a stroke. While running the farm he also worked at Service Motors in Seymour and Pulaski Chase Co Op. Merle enjoyed Snowmobiling and was able to do that every winter, he especially enjoyed going up north on the trails with many friends. He also enjoyed going to the Spinning Wheel every Sunday with his friends. Merle loved to watch the Packers and had attended many games over the years. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR and taking in the Michigan race every year. Merle was also a member of St. John Lutheran Church-Hermansfort, where he was baptized and confirmed. Merlin is survived by his son, Parker of Shawano, 2 brothers, Larry (Patricia) Wruck and Ron (Linda) Wruck, a nephew, Jared (Fiancé Karmin VandeHey) Wruck and 2 nieces, Amanda (Kyle) Meulemans and Tina Wruck and a great nephew, Jonathon Ries and great niece Jessica Meggers Merlin was preceded in death by his parents, special friend Brenda Bierman, nephew Sam Wruck and a great nephew Eric Ries. Services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at St. John's Lutheran Church-Hermansfort with Rev. Steve Conradt officiating.
