Michael A. Boivin, age 63, passed away on Wednesday January 24, 2024, surrounded by his family in Green Bay. Michael was born in Milwaukee on September 6, 1960, son of the late David and Melva (Kinney) Boivin. Michael's first love was cooking, and he was a talented chef and sous chef. He was a highly respected hard worker and a kind and generous man. Those that knew him well knew he was a jokester with a great sense of humor and was never afraid to speak his mind directly. In Michael's free time, he enjoyed time at the lake with family and friends, watching NASCAR, and rooting for the Packers and Brewers. Michael was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Michael is survived by his significant other, Carolyn Miller; his daughter, Rachel (Jim Sahatoo) Boivin; Carolyn's children, Jennifer Holstrom, Trent Miller, Nathan Miller and Kristen Waukechon; three grandchildren, Sonny, Joel and Faith; a great-grandson, Brayden; twenty-two step-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and his brother, David (Bambi) Boivin. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, and siblings, Linda Boivin, Brian Boivin, Laurie Boivin, and Leah Boivin who passed away hours before Michael.

A memorial service for Michael and Leah will be held at noon on Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Mr. Trent Miller officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in the spring.
