Michael T.L. Cox, age 39, of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 9, 2026, in Shawano. Michael was born on March 9, 1987, in Osage Beach, Missouri to Rhonda Morrison. In his younger years he loved being at grandpas farm which he always had a knack for hiding and getting lost, but he always found his way home. Michael enjoyed lounging at home, playing video games, and watching superhero movies. He was a jokester but had contemplative times. Michael loved being with his family and cherished the memories made with everyone.

Michael is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rhonda and Ron Elsner and brother, Collon H. Elsner. He is further survived by many cousins, other relatives and friends.

Michael is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tom and Marilyn Morrison; brother Ule Cox; and his family dog, Rufus.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday, April 13, 2026, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with Mike Dismeir officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2:30 pm until the time of service.
