Michael Paul Galland, age 73, passed away on Tuesday January 21, 2025, at his home in Shawano. Michael was born on May 5, 1951, in Shawano to the late Gene and Violet (Swinton) Galland. He graduated from Shawano High School. Michael proudly served his country in the United States Airforce. He worked at Little Rapids for 25 years before retiring in 1997. Michael bought a sawmill after retirement and took pride in the projects that he made. In his free time, he enjoyed storytelling, playing the harmonica, going to gun shows and air shows. He loved nature, living off the land and the simplicity of it all.

Michael is survived by his children, John (Rachel) Galland, Marie (Shawn) Anderson, Sue Linn (Mark) Washburn and Rose (Tim Riggs) Marciand; grandchildren, Shannon Mohr, Andrew Galland, Savannah Bradley and Nya Marciand; and sister, Jeanne Cookman. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A celebration of Michael's life will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Saturday February 15, 2025, at Gresham American Legion Hall Post 390, 922 Bartelt Street Gresham, WI 54128.
