Obituary

Michael A. Hintz, age 61, of Shawano, passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at his home. He was born on November 1, 1955 in Antigo, Wisconsin to the late Allen H. and Johanna (Baker) Hintz, Sr.  Mike was a master carpenter, craftsman and enjoyed working with his hands.  He loved fishing, ice fishing, watching football, especially the Green Bay Packers and watching NASCAR races.  He was always willing to help someone and would do so without hesitation.  He truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends, talking and reminiscing about the good ole days.
Survivors include: his daughter, Tory Jones of Waupaca; two granddaughters; his siblings, Daniel Hintz of Shawano and Cindy (Fiancé, David Stedjee) Janita of Shawano; and one sister-in-law, Diane Hintz of Shawano.  He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many friends.  He is going to be greatly missed.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; siblings, Allen Hintz, Jr., Pat Hintz and Barb (Hintz) Moreaux; and one brother-in-law, Vic Moreaux.
A memorial service for Mike will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.  Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in spring.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 am until the time of the service.
