Obituary

Michael John "Fats" "Perch Daddy" Kovach, age 68, of Clintonville, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2016 in Appleton. Michael was born in Milwaukee on March 29, 1948, the son of the late John and Janet (Franz) Kovach, Jr.  On October 9, 1993, Michael was united in marriage to Sandra Boettcher.  He worked as a printer at MPI Graphics in Milwaukee, Mary Morgan in Green Bay, and most recently at Independent Printing in De Pere.  In his free time, he enjoyed fishing and rebuilding tractors.
Michael is survived by: his wife, Sandi; two children, Tracy Kovach of Milwaukee and Aaron (Dawn) Kovach of Mount Pleasant; two step-children, Wanda (Joel) Nischke of Green Valley and Lance (Vicki) Olson of Bonduel; five grandchildren, Katelyn, Bobby, Justin, Skylar, and Makayla; six step-grandchildren, Zachary, Nicole, Tyler, Riley, Alexandra, and Remington; and one sister, Suzanne (Michael) Mahr of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Marianne Huntington.
Memorial services for Michael will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Todd Jerabek officiating. Inurnment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 am until the time of the services.
