Michael J. Krause, age 65 of Shawano, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 after a courageous battle with ALS. Michael was born on August 14, 1955 to Lawrence Krause and the late Violet (Heling) Krause in Shawano. He enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers, and Milwaukee Brewers. Michael enjoyed fishing and deer hunting, in both archery and gun seasons. He will be dearly missed by his family as well as all who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his father, Lawrence Krause of Shawano; siblings, Linda (Eugene) Passon of Shawano, Tom (Patti) Krause of Clintonville, and Cindy (David) Nelson of Ixonia; nieces, Amanda (Kevin) Pevonka of Sobieski, Wendy (Ben) Sprenger of the Fox Valley, and Heidi (Alex) Olsen of Oshkosh; great-niece and great-nephews, Makenna and Keegan Pevonka, and Zane Sprenger. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Violet Krause; sister, Deborah Krause; and a nephew, David Passon.

A funeral service for Michael will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Pastor Steve Conradt officiating. Burial will be at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Hermansfort. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
