Obituary
Michael William Marquette, age 56, of Shawano, died on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 in Waukesha.
Born on May 3, 1959 in Shawano, he is the son of the late Harry and Margaret (Bierman) Marquette. Michael was united in marriage to Jana Gauthier on May 16, 2008.
He enjoyed hunting, playing cards, going to the casino, helping others and above all sharing his time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jana; his son, Robert (Amber) Gauthier of Germany; siblings, Beverly Marquette of Eureka, CA, Harry G. (Lynne) Marquette of Lake Geneva, Larry Marquette of Shawano, Jim Marquette of Manitowoc, Carol Conklin of Foxboro, Donna (Jerald) Lampinen Hudziak of Weyauwega, Karen (Arvin) Block of Eagles, Joseph Marquette of Mountain, Victoria (Thomas) Wegner of Oconomowoc, Randy Marquette of Shawano, and Robert Marquette of St. Cloud.
He is further survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Mark Pyawasay of MI, Lloyd Gauthier, Jr. of Shawano, Oran Chester (Brenda) Gauthier of Neopit, Mitzi King of Keshena, Beverly (Andy) Gauthier of Stevens Point, Douglas Gauthier of Shawano, Bernard Gauthier of Keshena, Melissa Gauthier of Milwaukee, Lars Gauthier, Torriea Gauthier of Keshena, Darren Gauthier of Keshena, Lonna (Mark) Oshkeshequom of Keshena; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including his special friend, Dale Karv of Shawano.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Margaret; siblings, Douglas Marquette, Barbara Sherman, and Margie Marquette; sisters-in-law, Glenda Marquette and Barbara Marquette; brothers-in-law, Bernard Conklin, Ronald Lampinen, David Sherman; and two nephews, Matthew Bauman and Ralph W. Bauman, Jr.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Rev. Joel Jores officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Mitzi King Residence located at W2681 Chief Wis-ke-noh Road in Keshena from 4:00 p.m. on Friday until the procession leaves for the funeral home on Sunday.
A parish wake service will be held at 8:00 p.m. at the Mitzi King residence on Saturday.
Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
