Michael Todd Reiter, age 50, of Shawano, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 5, 2020. Michael was born on February 3, 1970, in Shawano, to Lois J. (Reiter) Webster and the late Donald Richmond. He worked at Menominee Tribal Enterprises most of his adult life, and was a firefighter for the town of Neopit. Michael was an outdoorsman. He was a do it yourself project go getter, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his friends and family, and was a fan of the Green Bay Packers.
Michael is survived by his mother, Lois J. Webster; his siblings, Christopher (Bernadette) Bear, James Webster III, Chauncey Webster, Valerie (Jamie) Rupar, Jackie Webster, Vanessa (Tony) Waukau, Darrell (April) Webster, and Carrie Webster; his goddaughter, Renetta Waupoose; his godson, Michael Meshan Pocan; and "special nephew", Randy Klein; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his fathers, James Allen "Teeter" Webster, Jr. and Donald M. "Ducky" Richmond; his grandparents, Louis and Elvira Reiter and James and Christine Webster; and his sisters, Tonya Pocan, Sirena Webster, and Tina (Reiter) Richmond.
A funeral service for Michael will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Dave Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at the funeral home from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm is reserved for the immediate family, elderly, and those at high risk for COVID, masks will be required during this time. From 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm the visitation will be open to all and masks will not be required. Visitation will continue on Thursday, July 9, 2020 at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service.
A fire has been started at the James Pocan residence at N2006 Elm Street in Middle Village which will continue until formal visitation at the funeral home. Please feel free to stop by, masks will be required.
Due to COVID-19, there will be no luncheon gathering following services.
