IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael
Rudesill
July 29, 1937 – September 18, 2019
Michael Frank Rudesill was welcomed into that great mechanic garage in heaven on Wednesday, September 18, 2019. He was born July 29, 1937, in Red Springs, to the late Thomas A. Rudesill, Sr. and Imelda M. Miller-Summers. He lived in the Gresham area his entire life, apart from his time in the Army.
Mike loved working on any type of vehicle, small engines, transmissions, and motor vehicles. Whenever he got in one of the kid's vehicles, he told you what was wrong with it. He taught many to drive, change oil, change tires, and anything else that kept your vehicle on the road.
Mike with son Ronald loved cutting firewood. He delivered to almost everyone in the area. His knack for giving nicknames to family members was well-known.
Mike was preceded in death by: his life-long partner, Yvonne L. Creapeau; sister, Bette Tousey; brothers, Thomas Rudesill, Jr., Henry Rudesill, William Summers, Jr.; and granddaughter Evon Malone.
Mike is survived by: his children, Marilyn Creapeau, Raymond (Pet) Creapeau, Sr., Ronald Creapeau, Charlene (Buttons) Malone, Kathy (Jerrald) Hill, Michael (Mary) Creapeau, Sr., and Quinton (Cindy) Creapeau, Sr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great- granddaughter. He is further survived by brothers, Keith (Claudette) Rudesill and Andrew (Sue) Summers, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Respecting Mike's wishes friends, family, and community members are invited to the Red Springs Cemetery for interment and military rites conducted by Mohican Veterans and Gresham American Legion on Saturday, September 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM. Immediately following graveside services a memorial and meal will be held at the Red Springs Town Hall. Please come and share your memories and stories of Mike. The family would love to hear them.
We want to thank the Ella Besaw Center for their work and support during the end of his journey.
