Myron L. "John" Soman, age 77 of Waupun, passed away Monday, October 10, 2011. Born on September 29, 1934 in Keshena, he was the son of the late Michael and Angeline (Wayka) Soman. He married Dorothea Waubanascum who preceded him in death on January 27, 1999. Myron was a huge Green Bay Packer fan. John is survived by: his 9 children, Lydia (Brent) Fink of Green Bay, Myron (Kathleen) Soman of FL, Kathleen Soman of Shawano, Cynthia Soman of Green Bay, Lisa Soman of Green Bay, Michael Soman of Shawano, Judy Soman of Green Bay, Penny (Victor) Escalante of Shawano, Melissa Soman of Shawano; 27 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister. John was preceded in death by: his wife, Dorothea; one great-grandson; his parents; and 6 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the Penny Escalante residence located at 130 Aspen Court in Shawano after 3pm on Thursday until the procession leaves for the funeral home on Saturday.
