Myrtle D. Koeller, age 91 of the Town of Richmond, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at a local nursing home. Born on July 4, 1922 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Alma (Huebner) Berndt. On August 22, 1942 she was united in marriage to Clarence M. Koeller. The couple farmed in the Town of Richmond until Clarence's death on October 21, 2001. Myrtle was an active member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano where she was a member of the Valpo Guild, Ladies Aid and the Altar Guild. She was also a member of the Shawano Homemakers, the Shawano Farm Bureau, a Kiwanis Ann and a 4-H Leader. Myrtle is survived by: her daughter, Judy (Dennis) Tomchek of Shawano; her son, John (Nancy) Koeller of Shawano; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca (Michael) Wellner, Jed (Heather) Tomchek, Maria Koeller, Eliza Koeller; 5 great-grandchildren, Seth, Olivia, Gage, Cole, Rose; sisters-in-law, Barbara Koeller, Eleanor Koeller; nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends. Myrtle was preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence; a granddaughter, Anne Koeller; her parents; and 3 brothers. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, June 28, 2014 at the St. James Lutheran Church in Shawano with the Rev. William Otte officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:30am until the time of the service.
