Nancy Carol Wendt, age 84, of Bonduel, was born on July 21, 1940, in Shawano, the daughter of Ann (Holtz) Theis and Wallace Theis. She grew up on the Westside of Green Bay, graduating from West High with the class of 1958, Nancy did secretarial work for several Green Bay businesses. She married Robert Wendt, Jr., in 1960, Bob and Nancy would have been married sixty-five years in a few weeks. Nancy and Bob ran two businesses that they purchased from his parents in 1971, The Wendt Gamble Store and later the Wendt Funeral Home. They sold the store in 1986. They continued to operate the funeral home until 2006, selling the business to Swedberg Funeral Service. Nancy was a great partner while raising four children. She was very involved in her church, Zion United Methodist in Bonduel for many years. The family enjoyed camping and trips out west and up north. She took several enjoyable trips with her daughter, Bobbie Jo. Nancy passed away on Thursday March 20, 2025, in Green Bay following a stroke.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Bob; three children, Shelly (Mike) Stoughton of Florida, Todd (Sue) Wendt of Green Bay and Brad Wendt of Bonduel; two grandchildren, Amanda Wendt of Boston and Greg (Shawnee) Stoughton of Florida; one great-granddaughter, Cecilia Jo; brother, Wallace "Bud" (Marcia) Theis of Alabama; brother-in-law, Charles (Sharon) Wendt of Minong, Wisconsin; sisters-in-law, Nancy Jane Wendt of Rhinelander and Mary (Fred) Lawrence of Bonduel; and special dog, Willow.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Ann and Wally Theis; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bob and Jane Wendt; daughter, Bobbie Jo Machek Wendt; and sister, Jan West.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday March 29, 2025, at Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel. Visitation will be held on Friday March 28, 2025, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm then again on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until time of service.
