Nicholas J. "Nick at Night" Micik, Jr., of Shawano, passed away on October 26, 2021. Nick was born September 1, 1955, in Keshena, to the late Nicholas and Ruby (Waukau) Micik, Sr. He was an iron worker whose skills were applied to big bridges throughout the country. Nick enjoyed playing pool, listening to music, and watching sports, especially the Chicago sports teams. He loved most the time spent with family and friends and will be missed by all who knew him.
Nick is survived by his children; John Micik and Steve Micik, Sr., grandchildren; D.J., Melinda, Makayla, Marissa, J.J., Miaysa, Mionny, Mivonny, Steve Jr., and Brendan, great-grandchildren; Rylan, Jayden, Owen, Aiden, Cadyn John, Liam, and another on the way, siblings; Joseph (Sharon) Micik, Mary (Roy Peterson) Micik, Michael (Verna) Micik, and Anthony Micik, former wife, Wanda Corn and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Nick is preceded in death by his parents, siblings; Robert in infancy, and Michele Micik.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, Oct. 29, 2021, at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with Father Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery, Neopit. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021, starting at 4:00 pm at St. Michael's Parish Hall in Keshena until the time of the service. Swedberg Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
