Nicole Rae "Nikki" Krizan, age 26 of Shawano, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 16, 2022. Nikki was born February 10, 1996, in Shawano, a daughter of Sophia Miller and the late Lon Krizan who died when she was young. She was raised by her grandmother, Ina Rae Krizan, and attended school at Sacred Heart Catholic School. She then went to Shawano High School, graduating with the Class of 2014. Following high school, Nikki studied at UW-Madison. She was currently employed at the Menominee Casino in Keshena. Nikki was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. She was a force of nature, with a passion for life and a big heart. Nikki loved animals, nature, and music, and cherished spending time with her family and friends. Despite the struggles and losses,she endured, Nikki never gave up. She worked hard to better her life.Our hearts are heavy with this tragic loss. Nikki touched many lives during her short time on this earth. She was dearly loved and will be missed by many.
Nikki is survived by: her mother, Sophia Miller of Shawano; her sister, Brenda Miller of Keshena;her half brother Fontane Tolar; her special friend, Justin Waukau of Keshena; her uncle, John (Lois) Krizan of Shawano; her special cousin, Cathy Hoffman of Shawano; her first cousins Trevor Krizan, Devin Krizan, Nathan Krizan, Rose Cantrell. Breann Brisk, Michael Cantrell Jr., and Corey Cantrell and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lon Krizan; her grandparents, John and Ina Rae Krizan and Mary and Bernard Miller; and her brother, Brandon Miller.
A funeral service for Nicole will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shawano. Fr. Scott Valentyn will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Shawano. Visitation will first be held at the Peggy Miller residence at N586 Brooks Lane in Keshena starting on Monday October 24, 2022 at 12:00 pm until Tuesday October 25, 2022 at 12:00 pm. Visitation will then begin again at the church at 9:00 am and continue until the time of Mass.
