Pasquale "Pat" D'Anna, age 61 of Suring, passed away Friday, December 16, 2011 in Milwaukee. Born on February 12, 1950 in Chicago, he was the son of the late Pasquale and Virginia (DeRosa) D'Anna, Jr. After graduating from high school, Pat enlisted with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and served on the Kitty Hawk in the Engine Room. Upon his discharge from service, Pat made his home in IL where he worked for Elkay Manufacturing. On November 11, 2000 he was united in marriage to Valerie Warrington in Chicago. The couple moved to the Suring area in 2006 where Pat fixed the Warrington family home. In his free time, Pat enjoyed playing cards including cribbage and pinochle, hunting, fishing, sightseeing, being in the outdoors in nature, riding ATV's, motorcycles and snowmobiles. Pat is survived by: his wife, Valerie; daughter, Sabrina D'Anna of Romeoville, IL; son Vincent D'Anna of Romeoville, IL; and several grandchildren. He is further survived by: 5 siblings, Joseph D'Anna of Kankakee, IL, Rose (Ron) Fisher of Mokena, IL, Betty D'Anna of Chicago Ridge, IL, Ronald D'Anna of Oak Lawn, IL, David (Ethel) D'Anna of Oak Lawn, IL; 2 brothers-in-law, Neil (Helen) Warrington of Chicago, Luke (Annette) Warrington of Hortonville; and several nieces and nephews including special niece, Donna Sailor of Anchorage, AK and special nephews, Robert Ferrier of Oak Lawn, CA and William Mattern of Shawano. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena with the Rev. Robert Rank officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation at the church following the service. Burial will be in the St. Joseph of the Lake Cemetery in South Branch in the Spring. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Monday from 4-8pm and also on Tuesday after 9am until 10am when the procession leaves for the church. A Parish Wake Service will be held on Monday at 7pm.
