Patricia A. Mendoza, age 76, passed away on February Thursday 12, 2026, surrounded by her loving family in Shawano. Patricia was born on March 16, 1949, at St. Joseph Hospital in Keshena to the late Gordon and Mae (Kinney) Chevalier. She enjoyed listening to all types of music especially oldies and Christmas music; you could catch her dancing and singing her heart out. Patricia loved being in the water and swimming when she found the chance. She had the greatest jokes and a contagious laugh. Patricia loved going to the casino to play Keno and watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. In her free time, she enjoyed riding in the woods picking berries when the weather was right. Patricia considered herself to be a homebody its where she felt comfortable. She was a selfless woman who gave to anyone who needed it. Patricia was a great listener and if the door was open you were welcomed in. She showed endless love to everyone she met and wanted to make sure that nobody was left behind. Patricia was the sweetest lady with her long nails who loved her family to the core. She was an amazing daughter, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend; it was a true blessing to feel her love.

Patricia is survived by her children, Anthony Brown, Consuelo Brown, Dominique Mendoza, Manuel Mendoza, Jr., Laurie (Robert Brewer) Mendoza, Mae Mendoza, Francisco (Cherilyn) Mendoza, John (Kamawine) Mendoza, Beatrice (Mario) Mendoza and Mary (Truman) Mendoza; daughter-in-law, Chanda Kinney; numerous grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; former husband, Manuel Mendoza, Sr.; siblings, Beatrice Chevalier, John (Francine) Chevalier, Mary (Ed) Post and Randall "Randy" Chevalier. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Patricia is preceded in death by her children, Troy Kinney, Sr., and Kateri Mendoza; grandchildren, Troy Kinney, Jr., Lily Wauka, Kateri Mendoza, Angel Mendoza and Shawn Mendoza; brother, Gordon Chevalier; parents, Gordon and Mae Chevalier.

A funeral mass for Patricia will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday February 19, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Hanz Chrisitan officiating. Visitation will be held at the Neopit Community Center starting Tuesday February 17, 2026, from noon until the time of service. Burial will be held on Friday May 1, 2026, at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
