Obituary

Patricia S. Strehlow, age 74 of Pella, died on Monday, January 15, 2018 in Appleton. Born on April 11, 1943 in Milwaukee, she is the daughter of the late Arthur and Ann M. (Herek) Gmirek.  She was united in marriage to Clyde Strehlow, Jr. on September 17, 1966 in South Milwaukee.  Patricia graduated from Mount Sinai Hospital School of Nursing.  She loved helping people and worked as a nurse at Theda Clark Hospital in Neenah for over 27 years.  Patricia enjoyed gardening, reading, counted cross stitch, attending game club, and working crossword and jig-saw puzzles.  She was a very active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis, including serving on both the finance and cemetery committees, acting as the treasurer trustee and a member of the CCW, where she served as the secretary for many years.
Patricia is survived by: her husband, Clyde; her daughter, Dawn (Omar) Camara of Milwaukee; son, Mark (Martina) Strehlow of Wausau; five grandchildren, Abdou, Trisha, Omar David, Max and Liam and her sister, Judith Ryan of CA.
Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, David Gmirek, and her brother-in-law, Michael Ryan.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leopolis with Rev. Joel Jores officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring.  Visitation will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Friday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
