Patricia Ann VandenBrook, age 77 of Bonduel, was taken into the Lord's hand on Saturday, August 4, 2012 in Green Bay surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 29, 1935 in Shawano, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Eunice (Pederson) Posselt. She grew up in the Shawano area and was a graduate of Shawano High School, class of 1953. On September 24, 1955 she was united in marriage to James VandenBrook at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church-Stony Hill. Together the couple farmed their entire married life. Patricia loved her flower gardens and her beautiful orchids. When not farming, she enjoyed traveling, bowling, doing crafts and making special things for people. She also cherished the time she spent with her 6 great-grandchildren. Patricia was a member of the Frieden's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bonduel. Patricia is survived by: her husband of 56 years, James; 2 daughters, Susan (Bruce) Hein of Suring, Amy (Jerry) Younk of Seymour; 3 grandsons, Adam Hagel, Justin (Tina) Rasmussen, Tyler (Lori) Rasmussen; and 6 great-grandchildren, Drew Hagel, Mya Hagel, Aiden Rasmussen, Ruger Rasmussen, Parker Rasmussen and Nathaniel Rasmussen. She is further survived by: a brother, Dennis (Ursula) Posselt of Shawano; 2 sisters-in-law, Jewel Posselt of Shawano, Diane VandenBrook of Bonduel; and a brother-in-law, David (Donna) VandenBrook of Greenville. Patricia was preceded in death by: her parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Ida VandenBrook; a brother, David Posselt; and a brother-in-law, George VandenBrook, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at the Frieden's Ev. Lutheran Church in Bonduel with the Rev. Virgil Hanson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel on Tuesday from 4-8pm and at the church on Wednesday after 10am until the time of the service. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
