Obituary

Paul P. "Paulie" Chomyn, age 57 of Pulaski, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at his home. Born on February 16, 1955 in Keshena, he was the son of Clara (Fowler) Otto and the late Paul Chomyn. After graduating from high school, Paul enlisted with the National Guard and later he enlisted with the United States Army where he was stationed at Fort Bliss. He later worked as an E.M.T. for the Menominee Tribal Clinic. Paulie moved to Pulaski 15 years ago. He was a member of the St. Anthony's Catholic Church and a member of the Veterans of the Menominee Nation. He was an avid Green Bay Packer and Milwaukee Brewer fan. Paulie is survived by: 3 children, Trisha (James) Holt of AR, Joseph Chomyn from AR, Derrick Chomyn of Neopit; 4 grandchildren; his mother, Clara (Stan) Otto of Shawano; and 3 brothers, Peter Chomyn of IN, Perry Chomyn of SC and Sanford Chomyn of Pulaski. Paulie was preceded in death by: his father; a sister, Patricia Johnson; and a brother, Walter Chomyn. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, November 2, 2012 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy O Praem officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Veterans of the Menominee Nation at the church following the service. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano on Thursday from 5-8pm and at the church on Friday from 12:00noon until the time of the service. A Parish Wake Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7pm. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
