Pauline T. Holl's Obituary

Pauline Teresa Holl, age 92, of Forest Park Village, Wausau, WI, peacefully passed away on April 4, 2026.

Pauline was born on October 10, 1933, in Quinnesec, Michigan, the daughter of Fred and Eleanor (Johnson) Warmuth.

After attending schools in Quinnesec and Kingsford, she moved to Milwaukee for work, where she met the love of her life, Carl. They were united in marriage on September 6, 1952, at Gesu Catholic Church in Milwaukee. Together, they raised two children, building a life centered on family, hard work, and laughter, and shared 55 years of marriage until Carl’s passing on April 25, 2008. Carl and Pauline lived in Brookfield and Milwaukee for a short time before moving to Leopolis, where they owned and operated “The Old Ranch House” tavern for 45 years.

Some of the most cherished memories were made at The Old Ranch House, where she loved to entertain. Her beautiful singing voice would carry throughout the bar, a reflection of her vibrant spirit and the joy she brought to everyone around her. Pauline enjoyed entertaining alongside Carl at their bar and created a place where everyone felt welcome.

Her faith was a guiding light throughout her life, giving her strength and helping her to fully appreciate every moment and every blessing. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing a cup of coffee, laughs over bingo, a good dessert, watching her favorite Milwaukee Brewers, and traveling the world.

Pauline was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis, where she also sang in the choir and was a member of the Council of Catholic Women (CCW), where she loved serving funeral meals and working at St. Mary’s Autumn Fest. She was also a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and later St. Matthew Catholic Church in Wausau.

Pauline is survived by her son and his spouse, Robert (Jane) Holl of Wausau, and her son-in-law, Mark Geiger of Francis Creek, eight grandchildren: Natasha (Bryan) Hanneman, (Children: Anthony, Samuel, Rayla, Savina, Maximilian, and Mary Rose); Ashley (Paul) Michlig, (Children: Jackson, Parker); Stephanie (Jerome) Wotachek, (Children: Juniper, Mabel); David Jon (Alexandria) Chupita, (Children: Hudson, Everleigh); Michael (Sarah) Chupita, (Child: Claire); Jolene (Jake) Funk, (Children: Colton, Caleb); Kristy (Jeff) Hahn, (Children: Emma, Anna); Lee (Katie) Geiger, (Children: Braelynn, Reagan). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pauline was preceded in death by her husband Carl, daughter Mary Ann, parents, sister Gertrude Lundamo, brother Fred Warmuth Jr., and other relatives.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Leopolis, WI. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 to 11:00 am, with the Mass to follow. Fr. Edward Looney and Fr. Vincent will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.

We extend heartfelt thanks to the staff at Forest Park Village for making Pauline feel at home. We also sincerely thank the Marshfield Medical Center Emergency Department staff and the entire care team who provided her compassionate care, as well as the staff at Wausau Manor and the Compassus hospice care team for their comfort and support.

Pauline’s spirit and love of life will be remembered and celebrated by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
