Peter "Pete" M. Carroll, age 75, proud veteran of the United States Army, passed to his heavenly home on April 7, 2022. Pete was born on June 11, 1946, to the late Perry and Beatrice (Muck) Carroll in Baraboo. He graduated from Bonduel High School with the class of 1964. On January 20, 1968, he was united in marriage to Barbara Jeske at Our Savior Lutheran Church in the Town of Lessor. Pete and Barbara are long time members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Zachow.  Pete resided at his cherished Carroll Valley Farms, where he loved to guide his daughters as well as nephews, nieces, grandchildren, and many others about farm life. He was also great at giving those he loved advice and showing all that you never judge a book by its cover. After many years working as a millwright, he retired and became the owner of The Landmark Bar, where he loved to bring smiles and laughter to patrons. In his spare time Pete worked on his farm.  He was always willing to lend a helping hand to his neighbors and enjoyed the company of those who stopped to visit.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara; daughters, Sarah (Paul) Gagnow and Elizabeth (Erik) Dahl, grandchildren, Bryce Gagnow (Cameri Gehm), Jocelyn Gagnow (Landan Kroening), and Wyatt Dahl; great grandson, Hudson and his beloved dog, Abby. Extended family – Kay Carroll, Lanae Carroll, Connie (Phil) Fleigle, Bev (Terry) Artis, Linda (Bob) Hoffman, Marilee (Darell) Ruh, Mary Enrico. He is further survived by many special family members and friends.

Pete is preceded in death by his loving daughter, Jennifer Carroll; parents, Perry and Beatrice Carroll; brothers, John and Tom Carroll; in-laws, Clarence and Hazel Jeske, Donnie Jeske, and Lee Enrico; and nephews, Peter Enrico and Brett Carroll.

A memorial service for Pete will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of the service.  Military Honors will be conducted by the Bonduel American Legion.
