Peter L. Rodgers, age 79, of King, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2020 at King Veterans Home.  He was born on September 4, 1941 in Waupaca, to the late Howard and Susan (Gyrrion) Rodgers.  Peter served in the United States Army.  Peter was united in marriage to Carol Wilson on June 21, 1975 at St. John's – Town of Hermansfort.  He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Shawano.  He loved his Hawaiian shirts, often found wearing a one every day.  He also loved his Werther's hard candies and would love to share them with his fellow church members.  The children at church would know exactly who to go to get an extra Werther's candy from.  Peter was a former member of the American Legion and Vietnam Veterans.  He was proud to be an American and serve his country.

Roger is survived by his brother-in-law, Frank Wozniak.  He is further survived by other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol; parents, Howard and Susan; one brother, Charles Rodgers; and one sister, Margaret Wozniak.

Private services were held.
