Phyllis Marie Krumbach Kopitzke, age 83, of Bonduel, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2016, singing hymns with her family.
Phyllis was born in Bonduel on June 27, 1932, the daughter of the late Harry H. and Marie (Strehlow) Yuenger.
She attended Bonduel Grade School, Bonduel High School, and graduated from Oshkosh Business College.
Phyllis worked for Consolidated Badger Coop and Wisconsin Finance.
In 1953, she was united in marriage to Allen R. Krumbach at the Methodist Church in Bonduel.
Allen preceded her in death in 1983.
In 1996, Phyllis was united in marriage to Ronald H. Kopitzke.
Ron preceded her in death in 2000.
She was a very faithful and spiritual woman.
She was member of Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel, and a former member of Peace Church in Shawano and 1
st
Presbyterian Church in Lakeland, FL.
She was proud of her faith, and shared it by singing in the choir, teaching Sunday school, and was also a circle member.
She was involved in the Women's Club in Shawano and Meet and Greet in Lakeland, FL.
Phyllis enjoyed many activities including, playing bridge, cooking, and watching all Wisconsin sports teams on T.V.
She loved music and taught piano for many years.
She felt fortunate to have been blessed with many wonderful friends and neighbors, including Vicki O'Brien and family as well as her new friends at the Living Tree.
More than anything, Phyllis loved her family.
Phyllis is survived by:
her daughters, Ann Marie Holden of Oconomowoc and Kay Ellen (Charlie Merrill) Rusch-Merrill of Greenville, her step children, Diane Hance, Rhonda Hallam, and John Kopitzke; her grandsons, Matthew A. Rusch of Milwaukee and Erik S. (Milena) Rusch of North Shores, MI; step grandchildren, Michael Merrill of Appleton, Christie (Daryll) Clark of Appleton; and one step great granddaughter, Madison Merrill.
She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Nancy Strehlow of Saukville, Maryann Yuenger of Bonduel, and Geri Yuenger of Lakeland, FL.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Allen; her second husband, Ron; her parents; and three brothers, Ralph Yuenger, Carl Yuenger and David Strehlow.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church in Bonduel with Rev. Dan Nault officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.
Visitation will be at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the time of the service. There will also be an informal memorial service for Phyllis at 3:30 pm on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at First Presbyterian Church, 175 Lake Hollingsworth Dr. in Lakeland FL, with Rev. Marilyn Cummings officiating.
