Preston Scott Pyawasay, age 63 of Keshena, died on Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Born on February 1, 1951 in Keshena, he is the son of William M. Pyawasay, Sr. and the late Jacqualine M. (Menore) Pyawasay. Preston enlisted in the Army and served in Germany. After the service he attended Marquette University for Accounting. His past jobs include working at a phone company in Milwaukee, Menominee Enrollment office in Keshena for several years, and lastly at the casino in Keshena. Preston enjoyed fishing, the casino and sports, especially the Packers, Brewers, Bucks and Badgers. Preston is survived by: his father, William; his brothers, Clayton (Twila) Neconish, Arrvin (Vera) Pyawasay, Nash J. "Menot" Pyawasay and Donald Fonds; his sisters, Elaine (Greg) Martinez, Donna R. (Tony) Alveraz, Shelley (Russell) Conjurski, Twila (Jarvis) Pyawasay, Debbie (Mark) Pyawasay, Dawn (Chris) Pyawasay, Dawn M. Lawe, Mona Pyawasay; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother and a brother, William L. Pyawasay. Funeral services will be at 11:00am on Saturday, July 5, 2014 at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David McElroy O.Praem officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery with Military Rites conducted by the Menominee Veterans. Visitation will be held at the William M. Pyawasay, Sr residence, N897 Knote Rd, Keshena after 4:00pm on Thursday until 10:30am on Saturday when the funeral procession leaves for church. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
