Rachel Jean "Rach" Kuszewski, age 28, passed peacefully on Sunday February 25, 2024, in Rochester, Minnesota surrounded by her family. Rach was born on March 10, 1995, in Waukesha, Wisconsin to the late Matthew and Cynthia (Steffen) Kuszewski. She graduated from Oak Creek High School in 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from UW Oshkosh in 2018. Rach worked and resided in Minneapolis, Minnesota following graduation and was employed as the Operations Manager at Third Space Cafe.

Rach was a bright light in the world and had a special gift for making lifelong friends. She was an accomplished artist and expressed her sharp wit through her artwork, much of which was shared with family and friends. Rach showed enormous kindness and strength even in the toughest of times. She loved music, her family and her friends, both human and animal.

Rach will be deeply missed by her sister, Caytlin (Sam) Kuszewski; brothers, Jacob Kuszewski, Nathan Kuszewski and Seth Kuszewski; grandmother, Maralyn Steffen; aunt, Lisa Steffen; and uncles, Randy (Ann) Steffen and David Steffen. She is further survived by numerous cousins, friends and a special canine niece, Frances.

Rach is preceded in death by her parents, Cynthia and Matthew Kuszewski; grandfather, Harvey Steffen; grandparents, Wanda and Ray Kuszewski; and special great aunt, Marilynn Steffen.

A funeral service for Rach will be held at noon on Friday March 1, 2024, at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano, with Pastor Scott Ludford officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Rach's Third Space Cafe family and her network of friends who continued to care for and make memories with her throughout her illness. The family would also like to thank the team at Moments Hospice in Rochester, Minnesota for their compassionate and gentle care provided to Rach during her illness.
