Ralph Alfred Laine, Jr, age 81, of Pulaski, passed away on Friday February 9, 2024, passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Ralph was born on September 12, 1942, in Chicago, Illinois to the late Ralph and Irene (Stefanski) Laine, Sr. He spent most of his childhood in Chicago until moving to Shawano where he graduated from Shawano High School in 1960. On September 30, 1961, Ralph married his high school sweetheart Judith Beyer in Shawano. The couple moved to Palatine, Illinois where he worked for the US Postal Service. In 1972, the family moved to Pulaski, Wisconsin and he began his 32-year career at Bay Lakes Manufacturing where he later retired. Ralph and Judy owned Laine's Antiques in Pulaski; he was a talented craftsman and had a creative eye. At the shop he worked side by side with his son Gherud building and restoring furniture. Weekends were spent antiquing at flea markets with his son Alan. In his younger years, Ralph enjoyed playing baseball and golf league. He spent many years coaching his son's baseball teams and served as a Boy Scout leader. You could always find Ralph watching or listening to some kind of sporting event. Especially his favorite Chicago teams like the Bears, the Bulls and the White Sox. Ralph enjoyed many years of family vacations in Cherokee Village, Arkansas. He was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Kunesh, Wisconsin. Ralph was a great husband and father and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His stories, humor and laughter will be deeply missed.

Ralph is survived by wife of 62 years, Judy; sons, Alan (Debbie) Laine and Gherud (Tracy) Laine; granddaughters, Amanda (Trandon) Markiewicz and Allison (Bryan) Lauritzen; three great-grandchildren, Hartley, Cade and Breck; and sister, Renee (Manus) Boyle. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Ralph is preceded in death by his siblings, Karen Laine and Mary (Keith) Kowalewski; and parents, Ralph, Sr. and Irene.

A memorial service for Ralph will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday February 17, 2024, at Peace Lutheran Church in Kunesh with Pastor Stuart Dornfeld  officiating. Visitation will be held on Saturday at the church from 9:30 am until the time of service. Inurnment will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery in Shawano at a later date.
