Obituary

Ramona Flora (Manihseah) (Perez) Fish, age 72, began her journey to the spirit world on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 6, 1940 she was the daughter of the late Camillo and Mary (Kinepoway) Perez. On June 17, 1961 she was united in marriage to Kenneth "Paddo" Fish at the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Keshena. Together Mona and Paddo resided and raised their family in the Neopit area. Ramona lived a fulfilling life, where she enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. During her earlier years she was a member of the Menominee Snowmobile Club, Menominee Golf Association and the St. Anthony's Catholic Church. She enjoyed spending time at the lake, especially on the 4th of July, also making blankets for the new additions to the family, rummaging, scrapbooking, and loved her time at bingo especially with her grandchildren. She loved sneaking off to the Crystal Palace with her Palace Partner, Tesa Oshkosh. Ramona also enjoyed sharing her childhood memories with her siblings, about Kinepoway Settlement (West Branch). Also among her many joys was working with children. She made a career of working at the Menominee Headstart for many years until retiring in 1991 as the Director of the Neopit Headstart Center. Ramona is survived by: 5 children, Tony (Vanessa) Fish of MN, Michael (Pasky) Fish, Sr of AZ, Carol Fish of Keshena, Ed Fish of Keshena, Muriel (Dana) Madosh of Neopit; 26 grandchildren, Anthony, Ezekiel, Oso, Indigo, Nadia, Nicolet, Michael Jr., Violet, Manisaeh, Lieyah, Mequon, Manih, Tesa, Kookie, Angel, Sipperiana, Yesenia, Jessica, Ashley, Flora, Vincent, Joey, Dana Jr., Shawn, Lance, Giovanni; and her 26 great-grandchildren. She is further survived by: 4 brothers, Louie (Pat) Perez of Keshena, Robert (Anita) Perez of Keshena, Renford (Lele) Perez of AZ, Clarence Perez of Keshena: 2 sisters-in-law, Elaine Peters of Keshena, Yvonne Perez of Keshena; brother-in-law, Lawrence Maho of NM; special sister, Deborah Lyons and her children, Kimmy, Bridget, Gena, Mona and Melvin; and her 3 Godchildren, Kirk Wilber, Esaw Madosh and Mona Gay Lyons. Ramona was preceded in death by: her husband, Paddo on October 17, 1994; daughters, Rosa and Kimberly Fish; her son, John Lee Fish; a great-grandson, Jace Madosh; 2 brothers, Benjamin and Donald; and 2 sisters, Gaynell and Elizabeth. Funeral services will be held at 10:30am on Friday, January 11, 2013 at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Neopit with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery in the spring. Visitation will be held at the Fish residence located at N1306 Running Bear Road starting at 6:00pm on Wednesday until the procession leaves for the church on Friday. A Parish Wake service will be held at the residence on Thursday at 7pm. Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano is assisting the family with the arrangements. www.swedbergfuneralhome.com
