Obituary
Ramona R. (Gehrke) Tucker, age 88, passed peacefully into her heavenly home on January 26, 2018. Ramona "Moni" was born on December 17, 1929 on the family farm just outside of Manawa, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of the late William and Irene (Zemple) Gehrke.
Ramona was an avid reader and loved books, music and planting flowers. She also loved swimming in Gull Lake and in the ocean when traveling but mostly she loved spending time with her family. She worked for Kalamazoo Township, Michigan State Extension Service and retired from the United States Postal Service in 1990.
She is survived by: her son, Michael (fiancée Linda Lichtfuss) Clark of Winneconne, Wisconsin; two daughters, Candace (George) Clark-Dorr of Richland, Michigan and Tina (Kim) Tucker-Phelps of Richland, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Benjamin (Nicole) Weststrate, Christopher (fiancée Christina) Weststrate, Alexander Weststrate, Tia (Daniel) Odell, Tarin (Alexander) Messenger, Michaela Dorr and Micah Dorr; four great-grandchildren, Brenan, Charles, Hayden, and Rayne Weststrate. She is further survived by: her sisters, Dorothy "Dort" Krueger of Manawa, Wisconsin, Loretta "Retta" (Frank) Kern of Frankenmuth, Michigan and Janet "Tiny" (Albert) Jenks of Beloit, Wisconsin; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Ramona is preceded in death by: her daughter, Coral Weststrate; her granddaughter, Emily Weststrate; her parents, William and Irene (Zemple) Gehrke; her siblings, Lorene (Rudolph) Sedlac and Wilmer (Adelyne) Gehrke; brother-in-law, Robert Krueger; and her former husbands, Richard Tucker and Lawrence "Larry" Clark.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Little Wolf Cemetery in Manawa, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Ramona to the St. Paul Lutheran School or the St. Paul Lutheran Church both in Manawa, Wisconsin.
