Ramona O. Granquist Cante Wste Winyan (Good Hearted Woman) Ramona O. Granquist, age 84, of Bowler, passed away Friday, August 2, 2013 at her home. Ramona was born on April 19, 1929 in Red Springs, the daughter of the late Jediah and Ethel (Hill) Wilber. She graduated from Bowler Union Free High School on May 20, 1949. On November 17, 1952 she was united in marriage to Robert Granquist, Sr. in Milwaukee. Ramona spent most of her life in Morgan Siding and the Stockbridge Munsee Reservation. She was a member of the Morgan Siding Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family as well as sewing and cooking for her family and friends. Ramona is survived by: her 8 children, Robert (Jodell) Granquist, Jr. of Oneida, Rhonda (Craig) Kroening of Stockbridge, Rene (Rodger) Cree of Oneida, Ricky (Stephanie) Granquist of Oneida, Rochelle Moede of Green Bay, Roxanne Mitchell of Marysville, WA, Randean (Yvette) Granquist of Stockbridge, and Reatha Granquist of Green Bay; 27 grandchildren, Robert, Harvey, Chad, Bradley, Brandon, Quincy, Rolanda, Craig Jr., Sheena, Curtis, Ramona, Brian, Rebecca, Ricky Jr., Alyssa, Caitlin, Bert Jr., Brandy, Tara, Micah, Nykia, Tony, Eva, Desaray, Leanna, Autumn, and Gordon; 40 great grandchildren with another on the way; 2 sisters, Helen and Robin; and 2 brothers, Orlin and Parnell. Ramona is preceded in death by: her husband, Robert Sr.; a granddaughter, Tiffany; a grandson, Joe; a great granddaughter Nyasia; her parents; 5 brothers; and 3 sisters. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at the Assembly of God Church in Morgan Siding with Rev. Rodger Cree officiating. Burial will be in the Stockbridge Indian Burial Grounds. Visitation will be held at the Craig and Rhonda Kroening residence located at W12707 River Rd., Bowler after 3:00 p.m. on Sunday until 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, and at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
