IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Randy G.
Larsen
February 13, 1957 – September 5, 2025
Randy G. Larsen, age 68, formerly of Denmark, Wisconsin, passed away on Friday September 5, 2025, after a short illness. He was born on February 13, 1957, to the late Delbert and Irene (Buchholz) Larsen in Gillett, Wisconsin.
After graduating from Gillett High School in 1975, Randy enlisted in the United States Navy and was selected for the prestigious Navy Nuclear Propulsion Program. This was a career path he would value highly. He served with honor aboard several nuclear-powered vessels including being part of the commissioning crew of the U.S. Aircraft Carrier Carl Vinson.
While he was in the Navy, he married his first wife and together they had a son, Jonathan Larsen.
Following his honorable discharge, Randy carried the knowledge he had gained from his nuclear naval service into civilian life. He had a long and successful career at several nuclear plants where he started as an electrician, worked his way up to lead plant electrician and then retired as the electrical maintenance scheduler at Kewaunee Nuclear Power Plant in 2013.
Randy enjoyed NASCAR and his favorite driver was Jeff Gordon. He collected several Jeff Gordon memorabilia items including a limited-edition Jeff Gordon 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo. He was also an avid fan of Badger Basketball and Football. In his younger years Randy would take cross-country trips with his motorcycle. He also enjoyed cross-country skiing in his free time.
In 2015, Randy remarried Nancy Buchholz. They had a small service at the historic Devil's River Campground near their home in Denmark, Wisconsin.
Randy is survived by his wife, Nancy; sisters, Sharon Larsen and Lana (Tim) McCarthy; son, Jonathan (Laura) Larsen; and grandchildren, Evangeline and Peter.
Randy is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Irene Larsen and his brother, Gary Larsen.
Private family services were held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano.
