Obituary

Reginald Curtis House, 84, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at his home.   Born July 1, 1935 in Keshena, Wisconsin, he was the son of the late Fred K. and Rhoda (Oshkosh) House and has lived in Indiana for the past 24 years. Reginald was lovingly united in marriage on November 18, 1998 to Lois Frechette (Vigue) who preceded him in death on August 16, 2001.  The union was blessed at St. Michael's Church in Keshena, WI.

Reginald (Reggie) served honorably in the United States Marines for 22 years. He worked as a truck driver at Howmet Transport Services in LaPorte, IN for over 10 years before retiring.  While traveling abroad in the service and as a truck driver, Reggie sought out the finest golf courses to shoot a round or two.  He served as a Club Pro for several courses while in the service. When he wasn't on the course, Reggie loved telling stories and jokes.  Very impressively, he could remember the first and last names of everyone in the stories.  Always fun to be around whether he was enjoying a cold beverage, going out to dinner, testing his luck at the black jack table, or watching a high school football game.  He loved football and, especially, the Green Bay Packers, and even wrote a song about them… Up in the Tundra

Reggie is survived by his sisters Lolly (Natalie House) and Dean Meyers, of Carlsbad, CA, and Ruth Ann Black, of Bryan, OH, step-children:  Renee Vigue of South Bend, Anthony (Diana) Vigue of South Bend, Andrew (Rina) Vigue of Keshena, WI, Julie (Mark Norton) Vigue of South Bend, step-grandchildren: Renee (Kas) LaTender, Teresa (Beauprey) and Richard Cromartie, Steven Vigue, and Lois (Vigue) Kassem, Mike Kassem, step-great grandchildren: NiLeah Harper, Brendan Chappell-Cromartie, Jennifer Cromartie, TJ Ballin, RyAnna LaTender, Mylia Vigue, RJ Cromartie, Kaylee Kassem, Kyler Kassem, Delanie Cromartie,  Elliana Kassem, Makenna Kassem, and Camille Cromartie, step-great, great grandchildren:  Royce Harper and Hudson Cromartie and many nieces and nephews.  And all the fun loving folks at Mitch's!  Reggie is also preceded in death by three sisters: Arlene Funk, Geraldine House, Richenda House and brother, Roger House.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Neopit with Fr. Nonito Barra officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Veterans of Menominee Nation.
