Richard Bernard "Dick" Campshure, age 81, passed on June 1, 2013 after a long illness. Dick was born March 9, 1932 to Bernard and Camille (Ponkratz) Campshure. He proudly served in the United States Army and then in the United States Marines Corps during the Korean Conflict. After many years of adventure and misadventure, he wed his wife, Virginia Rowinski on June 13, 1998. They resided in the Shawano area. Dick was a member and past president of his beloved Cecil Lions Club for many years. He also enjoyed golfing, bowling, and telling larger than life tales. He was a sweet, generous, and funny man. He liked watching movies and listening to music. He loved cookies and the Packers more than all of these. Dick is survived by: his wife, Virginia; stepdaughter, Helen Rowinski; his sister, Barbara (Jim) Wicker of Pound; his brother, Neil (Sharon) Campshure of Sobeski; his sister, Gayle Tulpa of Grand Rapids, IA; and Virginia's family: Mollie Bergsbaken and Dawn and John Moehrke of Oostburg, Jim and Shelly Bergsbaken of Cecil, Lee and Betty Ann Bergsbaken of Cecil, Dale and Shari Bergsbaken of Cecil, Brenda Bergsbaken and Jim Stuek of Clintonville and many nieces and nephews. He's also survived by: his brother-in-law, Ira (Edna) Blau; and niece, Betsy Jane of San Antonio, TX. Dick will be missed by everyone including his cat Muffin, who will miss the ice cream he shared with her. Funeral services will be held at 6:00p.m. on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel with the Rev. Moira Finley officiating.
