Richard "Dickie" Dick passed away September 09, 2026, at home with his loving wife Margaret and family. Dickie was born on January 16, 1941, in Keshena, Wisconsin, where he lived and was raised by his adoptive parents Richard and Rose (Schroeder) Dick.

He had a lifelong love of big trucks and, as a young child, dreamed of driving one. When he saw logging trucks go by as a youngster, he knew he wanted to drive. And so, he would.

Dickie went to live with his Uncle Stanley and Aunt Theresa Picard in Chicago. There he began his long career of driving big trucks by starting to work for Bastian-Blessing.

Dickie met the love of his life in Margaret Malli, when she had gone for a ride with her cousin that resulted in a visit to his cousin Rosie's. He was smitten. They were married in Shawano, Wisc on June 4, 1960. He and Maggie celebrated their 66-year anniversary this past June.

Dickie went to work for Jim and Bill O'Brien in Franklin Grove, Illinois. He then acquired a job with Standard Oil out of Rochelle, Illinois. In 1975 Standard Oil gave him the opportunity to transfer and then he and Margaret moved their family to Lodi, Wisc to this day.

In 1988 he bought a Peterbilt semi-truck to become an independent driver. He eventually sold his semi and worked part time for Ruan, Mefferts, Lodi Canning Co. and Lance, in 2018, he hung up those keys after losing his grandson, Charles.

He was a diehard Packer and Badger fan and enjoyed NASCAR. His favorite driver was Kyle Larson. Watching games and races with his sons Steve, Matt and Dale through the years were treasured times. He enjoyed playing his guitar, tuned by grandson, and singing the old country songs of Johnny Cash.

Dickie had a lifelong love of dogs and could often be seen sitting at his lake lot on Legend Lake in a lawn chair with one of his dogs at his feet, both enjoying the moment. He also liked walking his dogs along the Lodi Marsh. He was a contemplative thinker.

Dickie became particularly close and loved by the Wilber family cousins, especially Joylen. They enjoyed many family gatherings together. He looked forward to the camaraderie of hunting deer and turkey and fishing/ice fishing with Steve, Matt and Dale, extended family and friends (Ishmael, Larry, Glen and Tony), in the Menominee woods. He loved being outdoors and staying busy. If his neighbor Charlie had the hood of his car up, Dickie would soon be there, asking if he could help, as he enjoyed working on vehicles and was a good mechanic.

One of his last requests was for his daughter and caregiver, Roberta to read from the Bible, to him, which she was able to do.

Dickie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margaret (Malli) Dick; their children, Steve (Georgette) Dick, Matt Dick, Dale (Louise) Dick and Roberta Dick; two grandchildren: Michael and Stacy (Tom); eight great-grandchildren, Rosina (Sam), Emmy, Abbey, Lucas, Iris, Louie, Logan and Olive; two great-great-grandchildren; Xalia and Vera; sisters, Winona (Rod) Tucker Myers and Diane (Les) Tucker Roads; and brother, Gerald “Deeser” Dick. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dickie is proceeded in death by his grandson Charles; parents Richard and Rose (Schroeder) Dick; parents-in-law, Rene and Wilhelmina Malli; sisters, Frances Rusch, Nora Hayes and Zenith Lyons; and brothers, Francis Dick, John Dick, Bernard Dick, Donald Dick and Richard Dick; father, Richard Tucker; and mother, Loretta Dick.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, September 18, 2026, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Keshena with Fr. Juan Tejerero, Jr., officiating. Visitation will be held at the David Barrett Hall starting on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 1:00 pm until the time of service on Friday. Burial will be held at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery following the service.
