Richard Sean King, age 31 of Keshena, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Richard was born on September 7, 1989 to James Waukau and Kateri King. He graduated from Menominee High School. Richard worked on rigs for Noble Casing in North Dakota. He lived in the Keshena and Bowler areas most of his life. Richard was a member of the Menominee Indian Boxing Club, National Indian Champion, and Junior Olympic Champion. He enjoyed basketball, football, baseball, and spending time with his friends.

Richard is survived by his children, Janissa, Nekoqsmaw, and Payton LaVonne; father, James (special friend, Tory Gladue) Waukau; mother, Kateri King; siblings, Leroy (Annette Peters) Sanapaw, Sherilyn King, Shaunice King, Justice King, Ga-ma-bne White, Shanon White, and Sheenah White; as well as other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Mike Waukau.

Private funeral services will be held at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with Fr. Raja officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery.
