Obituary

Richard D. Pero, age 66, of Oneida, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Green Bay. Richard was born in Milwaukee on March 13, 1951, the son of Francis "Frisco" Pero and the late Dorothy (Doxtator) Keating.  Richard was married to Kathy J. LeRoy who preceded him in death on June 21, 2003.  He is an enrolled member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin and enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.  More than anything, Richard loved spending time with his daughters and grandchildren.
Richard is survived by: three daughters, Heather Pero of Green Bay and Stacy Pero of De Pere and Rhianne Blum of Gresham; five grandchildren, Glen, Delsin, Justin, Ella and David; his father, Francis "Frisco" Pero of Bad River; as well as two sisters, Carla (William) Bauer of Appleton and Darla (David) Klemmensen of Minnesota; and his nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; his wife, Kathy; and one brother, Lamar.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 15, 2017 at Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:30 am until the time of the service.  Following the service, a pot luck will be held at the American Legion on Lincoln Street in Shawano.
